It features a simple 3/8" wide band with a floral pattern on the inside and a plain silver finish outside. The outer band is just under 3/16" wide and features a different floral pattern. It spins freely around the wide band. The stone is a 3mm faceted peridot. This ring is named after the small gardens tucked away on otherwise vacant lots in neighborhoods throughout Seattle, as well as being an obvious reference to the pale green peridot which is the focal point of this ring. This one is a size 9. Ring a Day 222/365 I'm having some problems. This ring is a commission for a friend - a plain shibuichi band lined with silver. I soldered the two metals together and then formed the ring. When I start to solder the final seam the metal starts to expand and separate, as soon as I quench it closes back up. So I suppose binding wire is in order, but I wonder if I'm constructing the ring correctly in the first place. If anyone has any any advice I'd love to hear it!
